In linguistic research, computer-assisted work is being used more and more frequently. This represents a major challenge for students of linguistics, as not every student will have an sufficient background in computer science. This is where the E-learning project ‘We use technology! First steps in the modeling of linguistic data’ comes in: Students are taught the basics of computational modeling of linguistic data through a selection of learning models currently in use: EDL, NDL and LDL. The project was funded by the E-Learning fund of the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf (Germany).
